As a designer, I don't want to make environmental friendly products.
Simply because they don't exist. As a designer, I'm going to make inspiring products. Beautiful products. But they have to be efficient.
They have to fulfill their goal in the most simple, the most efficient and the most reliable way. Three terms combining very well. My designs have to be successful on the market, but also successful for the world.
They have to be durable. Not only successful for a short time and not unnessary damaging for the world in long term. Integral designing is what I'm going to do. Not only the shape of the product, not only an efficiently functioning product, but I want to be the one who shapes the product by making the right combination of inputs from different disciplines relevant or of priority on the product to design.
I want to make progressive products. Products as best solutions in their time. Products in which new technologies are used. But above all products in which the possibilities of their time are used as efficient as possible. Products that are inspiringly simple. But not just simple.
They have to have force. They shouldn't look like just simple products.
In my products, the force of simplicity will be used. A force that will lead to an inspiring product. My designs will be dominated by inspired simplicity.
